Illumination
Illumination is a total immersion 3-D surround sound-video environment. It is a synthesis of film, video, high definition computer animation and virtual photography that together with it’s architectual design culiminates in a seamless, 270 degree surround experience.Custom-made OmniFocus(tm) projection system and software were commisioned for the installation. An original score by composer Robert Rich permeates the 2000 square-foot structure.
Illumination allows access to the genesis of Illumination I; both reveal the phenomenon of light as the artist’s medium for sculpting sacred architecture.
Five video sequences take one on a path of Illumination while simultaneously intimate and expansive scale provides another portal to boundless perspective.
